About Wasib
Hi, I’m Wasib! Alongside my career in law and compliance, I have experience working in education and tutoring students at different levels.
I have taught English at Lewisham College and have also worked as a tutor supporting students studying towards GCSE and A-Level qualifications. These experiences taught me that every student learns differently, and that sometimes a small change in how a topic is explained can make a huge difference.
My own academic background has also involved a considerable amount of research, writing and critical analysis. I have an LLM in Commercial & Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London, with Distinctions in three modules, and have completed postgraduate-level work involving extensive academic research, legal writing and analysis.
I particularly enjoy helping students with writing because strong writing is a skill that can be developed. You don't necessarily need to be naturally "good at English" to write a strong essay or dissertation. With the right structure, feedback and practice, you can learn how to build an argument, analyse evidence and communicate your ideas much more effectively.
Whether you're preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, working on a dissertation, struggling with an essay, or trying to improve your CV for university or employment, I aim to provide practical, supportive and personalised guidance :)

My lessons are tailored to what you are actually studying and where you need the most support. I teach English and English Literature, with a particular focus on GCSE and A-Level students, as well as academic writing, dissertation support and CV writing.
For English and English Literature, I can help with close reading, essay structure, textual analysis, developing arguments, comparing texts, understanding themes and preparing for exams. Rather than simply telling you what to write, I’ll help you develop your own ideas and learn how to turn them into clear, well-supported answers.
I also offer dissertation support, from choosing and refining a research question through to structuring chapters, developing an argument, improving academic writing and referencing, and making sure your work has a clear overall direction. I can provide feedback and guidance while helping you retain ownership of your work.
For CV writing, I can help you create a professional CV that presents your experience, education and skills clearly and effectively. This can include restructuring an existing CV, improving individual sections, tailoring your CV to a particular role and making your experience more relevant to employers.
I’m happy to work with students who want to improve their grades, are struggling with a particular assignment, or simply want more confidence in their writing.
