About Vanessa

Nowadays I understand adults won't spend years and years in English schools without losing interest. A full course can last 5 or 6 years, depending on the school. In addition, paying 12 tuition fees to have only 70 hours of classes every year is a shame. My proposal is to work with intensive (6h class / week) and semi-intensive (4h class / week) courses. In the intensive course, a student has approximately 265 hours of class in 1 year. Therefore, a course that takes students from zero to fluency would last little more than 2 years. This means money saving and consolidated results. I offer 2 different lines of content: general and business. I work with digital Oxford teaching material and personalized access to their study platform. The books I use in class are cheap compared to the ones schools sell to students (you would be surprised at the values). The quality of teaching is my greatest differential, but I cannot fail to mention the organization of classes. Every course has a schedule of classes with content to be covered in each class, so the student learns in advance how many classes are planned for each month and how much their investment will cost.

I offer individual private lessons. However, depending on each case, we can form pairs or trios.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Vanessa and I have been teaching English for 20 years. I learned English at a language school and became a teacher as soon as I finished all the courses I could take at that school. There were 15 semesters of hard work! I have Cambridge CELTA certification obtained with grade A, which shows my dedication and preparation. My experience as an English teacher includes all ages and levels. I have already taught classes from preschool children to elderly. My focus is on young adults and adults.

Details

The price varies according to the level of English and purpose of the course. I work exclusively with intensive (6h class / week) and semi-intensive (4h class / week) courses. The monthly fees will vary according to the available working days of each month and the scheduled absences. Cancellations will be treated on a case-by-case basis, and make-up classes may or may not be offered.
