My Teaching Experience
For over 5 years, I've taught across ages 8–adult in classrooms, workshops, and 1:1 mentoring. I've designed curricula in critical thinking, writing, and STEM, and trained other teachers in active-learning methods. Whether guiding a struggling 9th grader through algebra or coaching a professional on public speaking, I adapt to how you learn best—not just what you need to learn.
My Passion for Education
I believe learning should spark curiosity, not dread. My "aha!" moments come from seeing a student connect two ideas they thought were unrelated. I prioritize questions over answers, mistakes as data, and real-world application over rote memorization. My goal: make you want to keep learning long after our session ends.
Interests & Hobbies
Outside teaching, I'm a fiction writer (sci-fi/fantasy), amateur astrophotographer, and rock climber. I also volunteer with a literacy nonprofit and love cooking dishes from around the world. These keep me creative, patient, and always a beginner at something—which reminds me how it feels to learn from scratch.
