About Zoe
English Literature can be pretty daunting initially, with Shakespearean language seeming unapproachable and poetry being hard to decipher. However, it does not need to so intimidating!
By breaking down each text into themes, assessment objectives and having open discussions around the context, meaning and the impact a text has allows us to understand it at a greater depth.
My lessons are an open space for any and all questions and concerns regarding literature, and by working together we can both learn and grow with each session.

My teaching methodology focuses on understanding the text and contexts by ensuring the student addresses and completes all assessment objectives in order to succeed.
Within a 50 minute lesson, I may spend some time with the student discussing the text, encouraging them to develop critical thinking and wider understanding of a text.
Then, we would draft an essay answer or paragraph together, discussing how the answer would corrolate to the mark scheme and assessment olbjectives.
My lessons are for any students with reading difficulties or difficulties with GCSE and A-Level English Literature.
