About Rodion
I’m Rodion, an English mentor with over 6 years of teaching experience.
My own path with English began through self-study, discipline, and intensive practice. Because of that, I understand the learning process not only as a teacher, but also as someone who personally went through the process of building fluency from the ground up.
At 17, before moving to Canada, I passed IELTS on my first attempt with an overall score of 7.5 after only 2–3 weeks of preparation, scoring 8.5 in both Reading and Listening. This experience shaped the way I approach exam preparation: strategically, efficiently, and with a clear focus on results.
After that, I studied and worked in Canada while completing my Bachelor’s degree, which gave me direct experience with real spoken English, academic English, professional communication, and everyday life in an English-speaking environment.
For the past 6+ years, I have been teaching English through my own practice, as well as in online and offline schools, business English courses, and exam preparation programs. I have worked with students from many different backgrounds and professional fields.
I specialize in real spoken fluency, practical grammar, pronunciation, communication skills, IELTS preparation, and field-specific English, including IT, finance, medicine, music, business, and academic topics.
My goal is to help students stop translating in their heads, understand how English truly works, and become confident, natural speakers.

My lessons are not just standard English classes — they are full English mentorship focused on real fluency, practical grammar, pronunciation, and confident communication.
The core of my teaching method is guided conversation. I adapt my language, topics, and explanations to the student’s level and goals, so lessons feel natural and practical instead of artificial or textbook-based.
Although my approach is heavily grammar-focused, I teach grammar differently from most courses. Instead of memorizing isolated rules mechanically, I explain how advanced fluent speakers actually build sentences and think in English in real life. My goal is to help students understand the logic behind the language, not just repeat formulas without being able to use them naturally.
Lessons are built around real-life English and personalized content. If you work in finance, we analyze finance lectures and business communication. If you study IT, philosophy, music, or another field, we work directly with material connected to your interests and goals.
I also place strong emphasis on pronunciation and natural American English speech patterns from the very first lessons, including rhythm, stress, sound positioning, and intonation.
I provide ongoing support outside of lessons as well, meaning students can contact me between sessions with questions, pronunciation difficulties, grammar issues, or real-life situations where they need help using English naturally. I actively guide students throughout their path to fluency instead of limiting support strictly to lesson hours.
I have also prepared dozens of students for IELTS and other English exams, helping many achieve results above their initial expectations. My approach to exam preparation is highly practical and strategy-focused — I not only teach the language itself, but also show students how to approach tests efficiently based on the way they think, process information, and manage time under pressure.
I studied and worked in Canada for 3 years, passed IELTS at C1 level at 17, and have over 6 years of teaching experience in both online and offline schools.
