About Sarah
I am a Senior at University of Texas at Austin studying English and Education. Teaching is the only vocation in which what we do every day makes an impact on the future. A word here, a lesson there and we shape the lives of tomorrow's leaders. Being a part of the effort to build a better tomorrow is why I want to be a teacher. I love English because books encompass all of human knowledge, the metaphysical and the temporal. Reading is the one skill that transcends its subject; everyone in every field needs to be able to read critically. I want to help students to develop the skills of reading and analyzing information in order to distinguish fact from rhetoric, and to give them a wider understanding of the world we live in.

My teaching method is individualized based on each student. I like to meet them where they are with the subject and personalize the curriculum to suit their goals. In a class environment, my approach is to guide rather than provide answers so that students learn the skills necessary to become problem solvers themselves rather than reproduce generic concepts or ideas.
