About Ella
I have always had a passion for English, however my passion did not come with skills. Through my middle and high school English career, I worked from the ground up in establishing the skills I wanted, so I know what it's like to feel that your skills don't match your desired outcomes. Through this, I developed my own strategies for writing effectively and reading with analytical intent, and it is my goal to help my students find their own strategies that work for them.

I approach lessons on an individual level, and can help get students to the level of success they are aiming for. Whether you want to get from a B to an A, or just want to pass your required English classes, I can help! I am best suited to teach middle and high school students, but I can teach elementary students as well. The first step I take with students is to review old work with the student to find what exactly they need help with, and discuss what they want to achieve. From there, I form a personalized plan with the student that maximizes their success by ensuring they are engaged with their goals and know exactly what steps to take. My approach to teaching comes from a place of knowing that every student can achieve their goals, and get to where they want to be in terms of English writing and reading skills.
