About Juliet
Hi there! I'm Juliet and I have recently left teaching in the classroom to provide myself with some more flexibility to do the things I love and travel the world.
I graduated the University of York in 2016 with a first-class degree in Linguistics and have since taught English at secondary school level for 3 years. I acquired a Distinction in my PGDE in Leadership and Education at Sheffield Hallam University through Teach First's graduate scheme. I have also marked for AQA on the English Literature Shakespeare and Unseen Poetry component. I am passionate about all things English Language and discussing the intricacies of writers' decisions, which is also largely beneficial for the Literature specification when it comes to analysing writers' methods and their effects.
My teaching style depends more on you and what your needs are! I'm happy to find resources and edit them for you, and to work with whatever materials you have from school in order to gain you the best qualification. I am light-hearted and make sure every lesson has a laugh!
