About Robin
Aloha,
My name is Robin, and I am an English tutor and teacher from the island of Oʻahu. With my Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as my TESOL/TEFL, I have experience supporting early childhood and youth education in both classroom and after-school settings. As a Teacher’s Aide at Strode Montessori, I assisted with lessons and Montessori-based activities, and as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader I planned and led structured activities at school sites.
As a native English speaker, I am passionate about encouraging and motivating new English learners to build confidence in their language skills. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment through interactive activities and a positive attitude, ensuring that our time together is both enjoyable and productive.

As a teacher, I focus on creating engaging activities that help students understand and retain new material. I also take time to learn each student’s unique learning style so I can adapt my teaching approach and design lessons that best support their success. I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident practicing their English skills.
While I primarily enjoy teaching students between the ages of 4 and 10, I make every effort to adapt my teaching approach to meet the needs of each individual learner. I also particularly enjoy working with students who are at the beginner to intermediate stages of their English language learning journey.
