About Lindsay
I am a Bay Area native, happily ensconced on the island of Alameda with my two children and two cats.
For two decades, I've worked in a range of educational, artistic, and community settings, and am currently working on her own novels and creative non-fiction.
I have worked positively and successfully with students aged 14 to 75, and currently coach middle school English teachers in Oakland. You will be in excellent hands with me.

I have a BA in English Literature, a high school English Teaching Credential, and an MFA in Creative Fiction.
I taught high school English for 10 years, building great relationships with teenagers of every literacy level, and helping them all vastly improve their reading and writing skills, offering a broad tool-kit for effective essay writing.
I currently teach Adult ESL in Oakland, and enjoy great success in helping my students build their English language skills. I am patient, fun, and energetic, and my students love working with me every day.
I also write and edit fiction and creative non-fiction manuscripts.
I work comfortably with students of all ages and levels.
