About Rayna
I've always believed that language is more than just grammar and vocabulary—it's one of the most powerful ways we communicate ideas, emotions, and stories. My passion for English comes from a love of reading, literature, and helping others express themselves with confidence and clarity.
As a tutor, my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe that genuine understanding is far more valuable than memorization, so I focus on helping students develop strong foundations that they can apply independently in school and everyday life.
Whether you're building confidence in reading and writing, improving grammar and vocabulary, or preparing for school assessments and VCE, I'll tailor every lesson to your individual needs and learning style. Every student learns differently, so I don't believe in teaching everyone the same way. Before we start, I like to understand how you think, what you find difficult, and what you want to achieve. From there, I build lessons that suit your pace and learning style.
I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. Instead of asking students to memorize rules, I explain the reasons behind them so they can use English naturally and confidently. Whether we're reading a story, improving grammar, writing essays, or practicing conversation, I encourage questions and discussions because genuine understanding always lasts longer than memorization.
I teach English from primary school to intermediate level and VCE. My goal isn't just to help students achieve better grades, but to help them become curious, confident learners who enjoy using English in everyday life.
