About Riya
I am an Russel Group Graduate, studying English and American Studies at the University of Nottingham. I currently am studying a Masters Degree at UCL.
In school I was passionate about English because of my teacher. I was lucky to have an encouraging teacher to look up to and who made it so easy to learn. Due to this, I did really well in my exams. My teachers love for the subject made me love English which is why I chose continue my studies at University.
I hope to provide a welcoming atmosphere for my students that I have learned myself during my studies. I hope my passion will really help you improve in English and inspire you during your studies.

Hi! My name is Riya.
A 1-1 lesson for 1 or 2 hours is the perfect way to enhance your English skills. No matter your ability, I will be able to work with you to improve your English literature and language skills and make your weaknesses strengths.
I will be putting in extra work to make sure your lesson is focused purely on what you need to know and improve. Each lesson is personalised to your needs.
In the beginning we will establish together what you have covered in school and where you feel you need extra help in.
Whilst we will be working hard together to improve your skills, I also do provide enjoyable environment. For me, this is proved to be the most successful to learn and thrive in. A good rapport combined with a focused yet relaxed environment is the key to establish and further your understanding of the subject English.
I am looking to tutor secondary school students. Most specifically GCSE / A Level students, but I welcome all years.
