About Damian
I started my teaching career at the English department of State Linguistic University after Nikolai Dobrolubov after I finished it in 2007. I taught British phonetics and Written and Spoken English to first- and second-year students. From 2008 until 2011 I accomplished a post-graduate course in pedagogical psychology. I taught Academic, General and Business English courses at the language centers and International companies in Russia Italy Austria and Georgia.

In my work, I always combine the old school teaching with the latest pedagogical approaches as well as the knowledge of the psychology of human nature. I am a firm believer that teaching English grammar needs the classical structural approach, which implies the analysis of the members of the linear structures through the definition of their form, meaning and function, so that my students get a clear understanding of how English grammar functions. When it comes to teaching English vocabulary and enriching my students’ means of expression, I always follow a number of communicative techniques to encourage and motivate my students to speak English in relation to their personalities, experience and real life situations in a friendly environment. As a teacher I always remember this expression: “Your students may forget what you taught them, but they will never forget how you made them feel”, so I do my best to be friends with my students and treat them with care and respect.
