About James
I love language, but I also understand how confusing English can be. I have studied a few languages, so I can understand what might be causing problems, then remedy them. I care for my students and provide encouragement to persevere.
I have experience in several other industries, but I have stayed with teaching, because for me it is a passion not just a profession.
I love helping people enjoy their journey to improved confidence, capabilities and comfort in the language, and in general communication too.

*I am able to tailor lesson content to students easily, I love creating interesting materials from fresh media. One of my hobbies is listening to podcasts about many different topics, these then inspire me to create fun, interesting, and useful lessons.
*Lessons of 60-90 minutes are standard, the time usually flies by though. In my usual role, they can be up to 2 hours.
*I have had the pleasure of more than 16 years of experience in this great role.
I taught for in three and half years in Japan.
• Presented up to 40 lessons a week
• One-to-one basis tuition in special areas such as TOEIC
• Presented “Voice” classes containing mixed level students
• Conducted children’s classes for students from 3 to 12 years of age.
I taught for a few months in Prague
• One-on-one tutor to executives, ministers and other such professionals
• Visiting students at their workplace for personalized English instruction.
I have been teaching here in Adelaide for over 12 years.
• General English students from beginner to Advanced
• Test preparation and marking
• Individual tutoring when needed
The majority of my experience has been with people in their early 20s and up, helping them to hone their skills in English, where needed.
