About Robert
I am a qualified teacher (PGCE Science) and have taught both GCSE and 'A'-lvel Maths and Physics in schools, as well as lecturing in universities. I funded part-time Ph.D. in astrophysics largely by tutoring, giving me 6 years of experience in private tuition.

An enthusiastic teacher with passion for my subjects, I have years of experience as a teacher and private tutor. I am familiar with many of the problems that students encounter in my subjects and have over the years, developed strategies that help overcome them, thus making the learning experience enjoyable again. My general approach to private tuition is to find terms and contexts with which the the student is already familiar in order to create 'hooks' to anchor the new material.
