About George

I am a qualified teacher with nearly 10 years experience working in education. I have had my own tutoring business for the last six years with very good success rates. I teach across the primary age range and have taught up to GCSE level. I offer bespoke sessions tailored to the needs of the individual, focusing on areas that students may need a bit more help with. I have taught across the primary age range so I have a strong knowledge of all the phases and year groups. Alongside this, I have a passion for creative writing, teaching all levels and leading my own writing workshops. I equip my students with all the skills that they need to construct their own written pieces using grammar that is relevant to their year of study (and beyond) and focusing on a range of genres. This is grammar taught in a highly contextual manner, which makes for a far richer learning experience. I also support with Reading Assessments, developing skills such as decoding, fluency, retrieval and most importantly inference. I have taught maths across the primary age range so I am adept at developing problem-solving skills.
