It is always intimidating working with someone new over Zoom. Then add, learning your mother tongue - another stressor! However, Linda is engaging and friendly to have a chat with. She is warm and incredibly patient, which is important for learning a new language. As she is a native speaker, she is able to provide you with insight into daily life for Cambodians and an idea of how to interact with natives. She comes prepared to lessons and makes sure she's checking in with you what what you learn and what goals you have. Further, she provides extra resources that she discovers/has which will enhance your learning journey. I would definitely recommend Linda to other students who are interested in learning Khmer! It is an incredible opportunity to learn this language.
