About Garima
A highly skilled and proficient professional with 10+ years of teaching experience. My excellent teaching are reflected in my pupils gaining pass marks at examination level. Moreover, each year at least one pupil received 100% in their grades. I adhere to Sharma’s teachings of providing concrete, pictorial and lastly abstract experiences, allowing pupils to progress through the stages at their own pace, resulting in a complete understanding of the learning.

Fostering an environment where students feel safe, valued and confident, I strive to ensure that they learn to their best capabilities. Praising and encouraging a growth mindset, risk-taking within their learning, and celebrating goals, encourages students to become active, independent learners, who recognise the strengths in themselves and others and who strive to do their best at all times. Furthermore, communicating clear boundaries, and speaking kindly and gently but with authority, portrays a respect for the students. This in turn establishes a healthy and constructive learning environment where positive behaviours become the norm. With an understanding that students are individuals who learn at various rates and in different ways, I apply differentiated planning and teaching techniques in order to consider their varying abilities, learning styles, interests and needs. My ability to effectively differentiate learning activities has been evidenced through making modifications to my own style of delivery within the classroom, student groupings and the tasks and opportunities provided. I adhere to Sharma’s teachings of providing concrete, pictorial and lastly abstract experiences, allowing pupils to progress through the stages at their own pace, resulting in a complete understanding of the learning.
