About Tully
I am a 23 year old third year student at the University of Portland pursing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of teaching. In my free time I play rugby, paint and cook. I pride myself of my work ethic, resilience and compassion toward those struggling in school. It was not that long ago that I was having a hard time focusing behind a desk.

Hello! My name is Tully and I am a student @ UP!
In my future classroom I hope to promote creativity, self-confidence and relational learning. As a tutor my goal is to reassure kids just how smart they are in the subjects of English, History or any unique humanities class. I firmly believe all students can be excel in writing and the connection of ideas across material. In my lessons I will help early writers (5-7th grade) formulate thesis statements and organize their shorter papers. For high schoolers, I will be honored to hear what they have to say about the vast subject matters the breadth of their educations comprise of. We will work together to expand upon texts, deriving the meanings of metaphors and what the implications of the authors’ works have on the world at large as well as themselves.
