As a dedicated TESOL and TEYL-certified English teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the world of language education. With a background in applied linguistics and over 8 years of teaching experience in both traditional language schools and online platforms, I have had the privilege of guiding students of all ages on their language learning journey.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with students ranging from 3 to 60 years old, tailoring my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Having conducted over 5000 lessons, I understand the importance of creating engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and goals. I take pride in developing over 200 personalized lesson plans that not only enhance language proficiency but also foster a love for learning.

Moreover, I have successfully prepared over 200 students for various ESL tests, including TOEIC, TOEFL, EIKEN, IELTS, and CELPIP. My track record of helping students achieve their desired scores speaks to my commitment to their success and my proficiency in test preparation strategies.

Hello!

I’m May, an English/ESL Tutor with over 8 years of experience. My love for language and culture stems from being raised in a mixed-culture family, which has enriched my understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives.

I have a passion for travel and have been abroad 18 times, visiting countries like Cambodia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the USA, and Vietnam. These experiences have broadened my horizons and deepened my cultural insights.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and cooking, often experimenting with recipes from around the world. I’m also a proud cat mother of three adorable felines who keep me entertained.

In addition to my passion for languages, I have a background in the medical field and currently work in a laboratory. This unique combination of skills and interests allows me to connect with students from various backgrounds.

I speak three languages fluently and am always excited to learn more.
