About Siona
I am a chess tutor with 8 years of coaching experience, working with students aiming for tournament and academy-level play. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance, and that deep training shaped my analytical thinking and disciplined approach to teaching strategy. Chess, like music, demands structure and imagination. I enjoy guiding players to see both.
I help students prepare for scholastic competitions, rating improvement, and serious club play. We study openings carefully, but we also focus on planning in the middlegame. I teach calculation methods, positional understanding, and time management. Short exercises strengthen pattern recognition. Every lesson includes practical games and review.
My goal is to unlock each student’s creative and technical potential at the board. I encourage clear thinking, patience, and confidence under pressure. We analyze mistakes calmly and turn them into lessons. Students begin to anticipate ideas instead of reacting to them. Over time they develop a personal style. I want every player to feel capable, focused, and ready for challenging competition.
