About Summer

I am a fun-loving educator who loves to create a unique learning environment for each student-- tailored to their needs.

I am a mother and grandmother; I usually hang out with my family at Disney World most weekends. I also love sports, particularly baseball and hockey. You can always find me cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Avalanche.

Fun Fact About Me: My house has many Hidden Mickeys and each room has a different Disney theme.

About the lesson

I teach more than facts and dates, I try to make history come alive and show students how it impacts their lives today. I create a fun learning environment so that students can relax and learn.

I create lessons and lesson plans based on a student's needs. Because each child is different I will organize each lesson according to their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. I understand learning styles and patterns-- and will work to make sure the student has what they need to be successful while still having fun as we learn.

I can create lessons for any age and learning level.

I specialize in the Renaissance and Reformation periods and American and Constitutional history.
