About Anderson
Right now, I am a High School and Middle School Science teacher. I have taught Chemistry, Chemistry II, Anatomy, Environmental Science, Physical Science, and Earth Science. I have dabbled in Life Sciences as well. I have also taught in elementary school, Kindergarten, and 5th grade. I am strong in Math, but strongest in teaching how to read and gain strength in fluency and comprehension. The part of my experiences that helped me the most was when I was a paraprofessional for a few years. I did this to take a break from teaching when my boys were young, but I learned so much on how to help students who struggle and how to work one-on-one. I think this will serve me so well as your tutor.

I am light-hearted, sarcastic, and fun, but my biggest strength is: I am patient! My son is dyslexic, so I am pretty creative in my explanations and can adjust lessons until we get it figured out. I am good at explaining concepts in many different ways to ensure understanding. I like approaching problems and concepts so we have a whole picture explanation, especially in science. Visual Teacher- Love to visualize explanations through doodles, graphs, and pictures. I can tutor K-12-- good in sciences, especially Chemistry!
