About Iniya
I’m a certified teacher with 2 years of classroom experience and nearly 6 years of experience working with students through tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, and student teaching. My goal is to support you as you build confidence, strengthen your reading and writing skills, and grow as a critical thinker. I believe learning works best when it feels personal and meaningful, so I use data, creativity, and project-based learning to help you connect with the content and succeed!

My approach as a tutor is very student-centered and focused on helping students build confidence while they learn. I meet each student where they are and guide them toward independence using the “I do, we do, you do” gradual release method. I model skills through think-alouds and step-by-step examples, then we practice together before students try it on their own. I also provide clear, immediate feedback so students understand what they’re doing well and how to improve.
