About Colette
Welcome! My experience includes professional tutoring, at the college level, for many subjects. What motivates me is a great interest in helping you grow your English writing skills from whatever level you may currently be performing at. Age does not matter. Being willing to progress into a deeper understanding of language use that speaks to your audience with skill, defines your position based on solid foundations of research and with methods that allow you to grow into a more effective communicator in ways appropriate to the forum you need to address. My teaching method is flexible. Everyone learns differently. Since 1998 it has been my privilege to work, at various academic locations, with individuals from 5.5 years to 19 years old. No subject is isolated, which means your English learning experience will be connected to history, storytelling, academic theories, world mythologies, cross cultural expressions and these elements will add dimension and frame of reference to your knowledge base. Learning is a journey and, sometimes, it takes a keen eye to see the difference between what one wants and what ones needs. Together we will find what works best to help new information become an integral part of your internal foundation. From these things great writers can emerge.

Details
Travel will reflect a minimum $5 charge. Distance will be metered and anything outside a 15 mile radius will charge out at an additional rate of .35 cents a mile.
This instructor requires a 24 hour cancellation notice. Any cancellation received less than 24 hours in advance will not be rescheduled or refunded. In the event that this instructor must cancel a class the student remains responsible for an on-time tuition payment because that class will be re-scheduled.
