About Jacob
I’m currently studying Engineering at Durham University, where I get to explore my interest in Maths, Physics and problem-solving. I’ve always enjoyed understanding how things work and being able to explain ideas clearly to others.
Outside of my studies, I love to stay active, play piano and spend time with friends. I’m a friendly and approachable person, and I like creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.

As a current Durham University Engineering student with straight A* grades in Further Maths, Maths and Physics, I have a strong understanding of the subjects I teach. I also have experience providing one-to-one tutoring for GCSEs at all abilities.
My lessons are tailored to each student individually, based on the teaching styles they respond well to and what they want to get out of the lessons, whether that be building confidence, improving their grades, or achieving top marks. (The basic structure will follow a concise 'lesson' followed by a variety of exam-style questions to work through).
I have a passion for these subjects so questions and discussions are welcome, but I also know how to pass an exam and ensure students stay on track to their goals.
