About Matt

I'm Matt & I have always loved music. I began singing, piano & guitar lessons from a young age, which led me to my career as a Musical Theatre Performer. In this career I performed in London's West End, Regional & international productions. Most recently I could be seen performing in Wicked at The Apollo Victoria, Understudying the role of Fiyero.

Having stopped performing myself, I have found that I absolutely love passing on my knowledge & skills to others. It's a joy to be able to be a part of someone else's musical development.

I pride myself as an easy going but firm teacher & I love working with my students to help them achieve their goals in a fun, stress free environment.

I look forward to working together!

Matt is a fun and patient guitar teacher. He knew exactly where he needed to start with me based on my little previous experience. He took a real interest in what I wanted to play and tailored our lessons to that. But he also explored new things with me so that now I play so much more varied stuff than I used to. He even taught me a bit of ukelele! He’s a natural teacher and I’d definitely recommend!

I had piano lessons with Matt last year and I couldn't have asked for a more skilled and patient teacher. I went to improve my technique and I saw a big improvement through my time with Matt. Couldn't recommend more!
