About DR RUTH
I am a Doctorate (PhD) holder in Mechanical Engineering with teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics. I have over 20 years of successful teaching and tutoring Physics and various Math courses: Arithmetic, Algebra (1 and 2), Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics at different grade levels. I prepare students for PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, HESI and other school and university entrance exams.

My teaching approach is to first identify my student's area of challenge and work together to make these strengths.
I motivate students and tailor my teaching to what works best for the individual. Understanding the concepts is key to excelling and achieving mastery. So, I demonstrate relevance of topics by using specific examples, data and visual tool so each student can take ownership of the learning process and great a lively learning experience. My goal is every student success.
