About Peter
Hi, I’m Peter, a PhD engineer and experienced mathematics, physics, and engineering tutor. I hold a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computational Mathematics, giving me a strong foundation in both engineering and advanced mathematics.
I have been teaching and tutoring students for more than a decade, working with learners from different countries, educational backgrounds, and academic levels. This experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to each student and explain challenging concepts in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
I tutor students from middle school and high school through college, graduate school, and engineering programs. I can help with mathematics, physics, engineering mechanics, materials science, and exam preparation.
My goal is not simply to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the concepts, develop strong problem-solving skills, and become confident independent learners. I am patient, professional, and committed to making every lesson productive and engaging.

I make math, physics, and engineering subjects simple, practical, and easy to understand. My teaching focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and plenty of practice.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review, followed by learning a new concept and solving examples together. I then help students practice independently while providing guidance when needed.
I teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, College Math, College Physics, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Physics, SAT Math, and SAT Physics.
I work with middle school, high school, college, and engineering students, as well as students preparing for standardized exams.
