About Georgia
I have been tutoring in Maths, English and History in London for the last few years. I am an A* A-Level student about to begin my gap year, and enjoy helping kids reach for those A grades! From helping young ones to pass their Year 6 SATS to pushing GCSE students for their A, I offer engaging lessons in a comfortable environment. It has become clear to me that many students benefit from working with someone of a similar age to them, who has recently been through the exam stress they may be facing, as it allows for a level environment, where they feel comfortable to make mistakes and ask for help!

At the offset of my tutoring lessons, I tend to provide a short test for the child, which I work through with them. This allows me some insight into where the child is at and how I might best help them with areas they might be struggling with. I then devise a plan based on this for the following weeks, which I go through with the parents before the following lessons. I've found this to be effective, and have also seen that students seem to be more comfortable working with someone of a similar age to them, such as myself. I do set a small amount of homework each week, but make sure to check in with how much they might be getting from school!
