About Allan
Hi, I’m Allan.
I provide personalised maths tutoring (in-person and online) for students Years 10-12 (Math Methods & Applications) and university.
I have a strong applied maths background, with postgraduate training in mathematics, modelling and programming. I’ve worked in research (Max Planck Institutes and UK universities) and currently work as a Senior Data Scientist in the Australian Public Service.
What I offer:
* Clear explanations (no jargon)
* Step-by-step problem solving
* Help with assignments, exam prep and weak areas
* Focus on building confidence as well as marks
Experience:
* 5+ years tutoring ACT students
* Secondary maths teaching experience (UK GCSE & A-level)
* Proven track record helping students lift grades and pass difficult courses

As a parent of three, I understand how important it is to build confidence and reduce stress around maths.

Details
My rates are affordable: $50 per hour for primary school-aged children, $60 per hour for students in Years 7-9, and $70 per hour for students in Years 10-12. While I do not offer a free trial lesson, I do not charge for preparation or feedback.
