About Tom
I am a learning professional with twenty years of experience teaching math and tutoring Manhattan private school students to achieve significantly improved results.
I have had a lifelong impact on students from Collegiate, The Spence School, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Dalton, Trinity, Heschel, and Riverdale, among others. References from parents, students and schools available on request.
Graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Mathematics in 1988.

I specialize in math and sciences (grades six to 12) including algebra, geometry, calculus, physics and chemistry in all tracks.
I provide not only clear and effective teaching, but help you learn how to master math and science courses, including understanding your own personal learning style, memory and deep learning, motivation, and methods.
For virtual sessions I use collaborative writing technologies which are extremely well-suited for math & science online teaching.
In addition to tutoring, I have provided coaching and development for talented students interested in problem-solving, puzzles, and math competitions, as well as vital enrichment and inspiration for math-interested younger students.
