About Clare
English is my passion. I have a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Manchester, and a Primary PGCE from the Institute of Education. I have always loved tutoring and teaching. I started teaching in 2004 and have taught all primary year groups, from Reception to Year 6.

If you’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced tutor with a proven success rate then look no further! I have over 11 years experience of classroom teaching, and many years of tutoring all ages from 3 to 18 in English, Reading, Phonics, Maths and 11+ test preparation. My emphasis is on building children’s confidence through a nurturing approach, whilst also ensuring lessons are fun and engaging!
I am available to tutor children aged 4 to 11. Lessons can last 30 minutes or 1 hour. I teach both online and face to face.
