About Lucia

I have a postgraduate degree in business and have been giving private lessons since 2012. During my working life, I have been involved in a wide range of teaching activities from internal training in organisations to teaching in higher education settings. I have delivered private Maths lessons for children and young people. I have supported learners with their Maths learning process giving them explanations, lots of practice, and developing engaging tailored lessons to improve their skills and confidence. I have been reviewing the current mathematics curriculum, how it is taught, and those areas which prove to be most challenging for the children in order to create tailored lessons that suit the student's needs. I am able to offer one-to-one or group lessons at your home (London, Greater London or Surrey), or online lessons via an online classroom.

About the lesson

I am really passionate about teaching and creating a learning environment that gives me the chance to really learn and apply the knowledge. I think education's key is not just to transfer what you know, it supports the learner to set and achieve their goals using appropriate methods for a particular individual. Main areas of experience: - General Maths Lessons - Maths KS3- Common Entrance- 11+ - Maths UK A-Levels (AS) and GCSE Maths.

Lucia's lessons have really proved useful, thanks to her help, my daughter has managed to bring her maths grade up by several grades.
It has been a pleasure knowing that my daughter truly enjoyed every lesson with her, (Lucia's) her approach of explaining any mistake made is perfect, simply put, Lucia is kind and patient; if we were to need a tutor for maths again, we wouldn't want to change from her.
