About Rachel
With a degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in reading and years of experience as a teacher, I understand how to meet students where they are and help them grow. Being a K-2 special education teacher, I create a patient, encouraging, and structured learning environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities and confidence is built through success. My personalized approach ensures that every child feels supported while making real progress. Whether your child needs help with reading, literacy, or foundational skills, I am here to guide them with kindness and expertise. Learning should be engaging, and together, we will celebrate every step forward!

As a tutor, I lead with love, patience, and understanding. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where every child feels confident and capable.
A typical lesson begins with a review of what we’re working on, followed by beginner questions to build self-esteem. Then, we gently progress to more challenging tasks to encourage growth.
My approach is always positive—mistakes are a natural part of learning, and we celebrate them as opportunities to improve.
I specialize in working with K-2 students, particularly those who need extra support in reading, literacy, and foundational skills, but I am also experienced in helping students up to 5th grade with all subjects.
My goal is to help every child move forward at their own pace while developing a love for learning.
