The "trick" to acing the SAT is pretty simple: recognize the patterns in your wrong answers, then practice and refine the strategies for those types of problems ad naseaum.
The teacher's job is two-fold: help the students find those patterns, then share those strategies...Bonus points, this teacher also offers lots of encouragement, as well as practice tips.
Students of all ages and backgrounds.
It's fairly easy to read your reading and writing scores, but it's very difficult to raise your math score in 6 weeks. If your prospective teacher is promising amazing results in that time frame, please inspect their materials for gaps.
