About Leo
I have always been a natural teacher. Even since my freshman year of high school, I have had a gift when it comes to breaking down and explaining difficult concepts in both mathematics and science. My teachers used to sit me next to the kids who were struggling with course materials not only because of my deep understanding of course content, but also my willingness to patiently walk them through the material finding ways to bridge the gap between their thinking and the more nuanced approaches needed to master the material. Teachers reported my peers grades improving greatly after sitting next to me! I promise to bring this same passion and skill to my assignment with your child, all at a very competitive rate.
I live for the moment when a concept clicks for a student. There is absolutely nothing better. Sometimes, it takes numerous approaches and a variety of teaching methods, but that is just fine. In fact, this challenge makes my work vastly more satisfying. There is nothing wrong with taking time to understand challenging concepts, and I fight with my students along every step of this process. Having an objective of getting concepts to “click” keeps me driven and focused, ready to help your child in every way possible!
