When COVID hit and schools shut down, I sought out an in-person tutor for my son to help alleviate all the issues associated with online learning only. Like everyone, juggling home life, working remote, remote schooling, etc…, has all been very challenging. I have heard too many stories of students struggling with online learning, or worse, completely giving up on the online school process. We attempted to avoid this issue by having our son meet with Mary Beth once a week. She works with him on all of his subjects and helps him with his school projects. The in person learning has really made a difference not only in his learning but also his social and emotional state. It has been a wonderful compliment to his studies and I have noticed his grades have gone up significantly since my son has started working with her. While other kids only have overwhelmed teachers and a computer screen to look at for assistance, Mary Beth offers outstanding one-on-one tutoring to course correct any issues that crop up.

Mary Beth has an excellent teaching pedigree that really shines when she works with my son. I am frequently a few minutes early to pick him and listen in while they are finishing up. Her demeanor is well suited for teaching middle and high school aged children. The experience has been so positive that we plan to continue using Mary Beth in the coming years to assist my son with his eventual high school studies and also to assist him with college placement exam preparation when that time comes.
