About Alan

I played competitive basketball for most of my life as early as junior high school. I taught physical education and coached basketball for the New York City Board Of Education and also participated in the PAL league coaching a team.

I played for St.Partrick's High School where many NBA players today came from. I also played Division 1 basketball at Long Island University. After I graduated I played in a semi pro basketball league in California.

I understand the game on a different level.

About the lesson

I will typically start with an assesment of basic basketball skills for offense, defense, knowledge and physical ability.

From there I help them to develop a workout plan to consisitently improve their skills.

Usually kids from age 14 and up with different skill levels.

Pick the teacher who understand what your child/student needs to get better. Pick someone who knows how to properly communicate effectively to get a positive response from the child or student. Pick someone who can be a role model for your child/student.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
From a scale of 1-10 how committed and serious are you in improving your overall basketball skills?

Are you willing to do whatever is neccessary to improve your skill level?

Gerald

Since Alan is an experienced and a well coached player, he knows the fundamentals through and through. He can identify areas, generally small corrections that you could not see yourself, to improve both in your form and physical strengths and ultimately your basketball game. He can help both the beginner and experienced player.

What is unique about Alan is that he has an impressive knowledge about how the body works and what exercises and activities you need to do to achieve your goals, whether they be for basketball or just fitness in general.
