He was very knowledgeable & articulate. The approach to his training made us all comfortable since our levels of expertise were nowhere near his . I also liked how serious he handled all the subject matter but yet it was fun & conversational . The personal attention I received as it was second to none. My instructor Clayton made sure we understood all rules and regulations and stopped if we had any problem understanding and answered all questions we had.

I am a complete novice at firing pistols and I hired Derek to teach me safety and how to fire the weapon. He was on time for the lesson and we spent about an hour reviewing all aspects of my Glock 17. I learned how to load the magazine, stance, aim, and most importantly how to use it safely. We did this without any bullets in order that I was completely safe and proficient.
We then spent about two hours of actual target practice. We reviewed my results after firing the complete magazine in order to analyze my results. He informed me how to correct my misses after each round. We fired about 8 magazines total and my results continued to improve after each round. During the round he would often stop me to correct my hands, stance, etc.
At all times Derek was very informative and professional during the session. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn or improve on their skills.

I had never really shot before and Derek Ringley gave me very thorough instruction before I even shot the gun. His instruction made it so that my first shot was a hair away from the X at dead center. Spectacular instruction. Told me how to hold my body position, where to focus, even how to breathe. Very supportive.
