About Mouhamad

Hello! I am Mouhamad and I am science tutor for evyerthing from AP bio/chemistry, general biology and chemistry, biochemistry, and social sciences, to anything else you can think of. I have been teaching science as a tutor for 6 years. I graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology as a pre-med student; and I am currently in medical school at Michigan State University. I have tutored tons of students, from pre-meds/pre-health students, to those simply taking a science class to fulfill a credit requirement. If I can be of any help at all with school, please feel free to let me know! I love teaching and mentoring students and will be happy to help out in any way!

I began teaching when a previous professor of mine asked me to be a teaching assistant the following academic year after excelling in their course.

I was a teaching assistant for Biology/Biochemistry and a Psychology research assistant, as well as a publsihed researcher in the fields of biochemistry/molecular biology at the University of Michigan for 4 years.

About the lesson

I like to get to know all my students a little bit and see what areas I can be of most help

I have worked with all types of students, from underclass students to students in advanced upper level courses of various degree and career tracts. I have also mentored students entering college and pre-medical students looking to gain acceptance to medical school.

Be sure they are someone who can communicate effectively and really relate to you. It's important for a science tutor to be a great people person that you really feel comfortable working with.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Concepts involving mathematical equations, calculations or those involving step by step pathways are typically ones that some students find tricky; but it would make all the difference in the world to try to fit all the pieces together and see where you end up, even if you don't get it right away. This really helps you follow your thoughts and improve problem-solving and critical thinking skills
