About Chef Diane

I'm a Professional Chef & Pastry Chef who has been teaching cooking & baking for over 25 years.

I love sharing my love of food & cooking with others!

I love interacting with excited students, watching their skills and enjoyment grow daily!

One of my favorite things to do is design the perfect class and recipes for students who can't usually find a class to cater to them.

After working in restaurants for several years, I happily discovered that I loved teaching and sharing my passion for cooking with others.
The rest, as they say, is history! I started my company, For the Love of Food, in Baltimore, Maryland in 2000 and have never looked back!

Have worked and taught in some of the best Cooking Schools & Restaurants in NYC, Baltimore, Martha's Vineyard - and for the past 7 years in Colorado!

About the lesson

I like to meet with or talk to her or him to find out what they'd like to learn to cook; what kind of cooking experience they've had so far; what their cooking skills are to date; if they've got any food allergies or sensitivities; if they are cooking for themselves or for other individuals who may have food sensitivities or allergies.

Occasionally, I have students who would like to go on to professional cooking schools because they'd like to take their cooking skills further. So I like to find out that as well.

You name it!! Adults, children, professionals, autistic children, Corporate Groups, families...

Find a teacher who truly enjoys sharing their knowledge and skills with others. Make sure they've got wonderful experience in teaching; check that they will travel to you if necessary and that what they teach matches what you are looking to learn.

A fabulous corporate class we hosted for 60 participants at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. It was structured after the television show "Chopped!" - with mystery ingredients, teams and some incredible dishes!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. Is the Chef Instructor a Professional Chef or a home cook who likes to cook?

2. What ages do you teach?

3. Can you teach large groups (if required)?

4. Does the teacher provide all the necessary food for the class?

5. Is the teacher skilled at designing menus and dishes for individuals with special dietary requirements?

6. Will the teacher come to you or have you come to them as requested?
