About James
I created my business in 2012. Between working with People Magazine as their catering chef, cooking for an upscale family on the Upper East Side, and contract catering with a healthcare facility, I began teaching regularly at Sur La Table in Yonkers NY about 18 months ago. I hold classes for up to 16 people, including private events. Everyone comes in to class with varying degrees of culinary skills. Part of gaining knowledge over 25 years of experience is giving back. It brings me no greater joy to see students understand culinary skills and connect the dots; I know the next time they are in the kitchen they are going to apply those newly taught skills and build their repertoire. That's what a good cook does. I am proud I am part of that learning.
