When I took his perspective class, he really cared about us making great work while also retaining the concepts. It was the right balance of instructive and creative. 10/10 would take another class with him again!

Mr Tak Salmastyan is a honest instructor. I took a couple clases at the Art Institute of Hollywood.
He likes to keep it subtle and honest. As an art student I did appreciate honestly a lot. He makes an effort to keep in touch with past students and I like that’s about him.

Tak was my instructor in perspective drawing and color theory. His classes were very informative and lots of fun. I came out of his classes with an evolving painting style and a knack for conveying emotion with color.

I grew as an artist by his instructions. I learned that art flows better when its coming out of you naturally.. flowing your hand across the canvas or paper. His guidance kept me in focus, He doesn’t sugarcoat. His techniques inspired me and lastly his lessons were unlike others. I genuinely felt his support. A superb instructor indeed.

I was able to gain a new perspective on how I view things when creating. I learned how to get my thoughts down with a simple rough sketch. That sketch is the most important piece of my paintings because you cannot build without a strong foundation.
