I have thoroughly enjoyed my time studying under Mr. Schoeneman. He is incredibly patient and works at a comfortable pace, while still pushing me. I have been able to apply everything he has taught me while playing every day and playing for my church youth group worship band. Our son began drum lessons with Spencer a few months ago and we have been SO pleased! He is a very kind & patient instructor, and very knowledgable in the art of music. He began lessons at our son's personal level and our son has really enjoyed his time learning with Spencer so far. Spencer is an excellent teacher. He is very clear on what basics a young drummer needs to cement before moving on in their learning. He knows when they need to stay where they are for a bit longer and when he can advance the level of material. He is an extremely skilled drummer himself and is able to teach others these skills. He is organized and methodical in his teaching style. He is open to requests of the students or parents of students if there is something specific they desire to learn. Excellent communication skills. Highly recommend! Our son has been taking lessons from him for over a year.

Spencer is excellent at communicating clearly about lessons, payments, expectations, etc! After moving to the area, our son was nervous about starting with a new teacher. After one lesson he was sure he wanted to stick with Spencer, and he always comes out of his lessons with a smile on his face and shares the new things he learned and how he enjoyed his time. Spencer has to be one of the most patient people I've ever met, our son is very full of energy with not always the highest level of focus. Poor Spencer does an amazing job at redirecting and making drum lessons fun for a little boy. In just one year our son even though he's young has learned so much from Spencer.

Spencer operates with the highest level of professionalism from start to finish, whether it be written, oral or in person. He is punctual each week and has never left us waiting or wondering. His communication is impeccable, he is a master at what he does and a natural teacher. He not only challenges my daughter to keep stretching and refining her skills, but inspires her to explore, resulting in her experience with percussion to be unique and custom to her specifically. She has grown exponentially and I have to say I enjoy hearing them converse as much as I enjoy hearing her play! Did I mention that Spencer is a rockin’ drummer?

Spencer is FANTASTIC and a great teacher. He has done wonders teaching my daughter over the past few years. She is 12 now. It's smiles every time she goes to/from lessons. I've seen her constantly grow her skills, focusing on her rudiments and building on her skills allowing her to constantly be challenged. and he makes it fun for her.

I spent months fooling around on Youtube and not getting anywhere. Spencer's curriculum and structure has allowed me to advance WAY faster than I was as a self-directed student.
