I like to develop strong fundamentals. Whether melodic or percussive I walk through the scales to empower students to decipher songs even when they aren't in class.
4 y/o up to 60 y/o
Pick someone that lines up with the goals you have with the instrument.
My newest student had the courage to learn and post a song with melody and harmony on a social platform. This level of acceptance was huge for this student.

My lesson minimum is $40 for 30 minutes of introductory level study on the drum set. Specialty percussion carries different pricing as does more advanced study.
