About Bucket

I am an award winning drummer/percussionist with Diamond, Platinum and Gold records to my credit, also Saturn award winning movie soundtrack credits. I have toured the world with countless Grammy award-winning artists. I can play any style from marching band to jazz. Please google me and let's get to work.

I love music. I am in love with drumming. As for teaching, having the ability to help someone learn how to play drums read music and express what they feel is a whole new passion for me..

Perfect! Bucket is not only an incredible percussionist but also an exceptional teacher. You can tell right away that he has a deep passion for music and sharing his gifts and knowledge with his students. I would absolutely recommend him to any person looking for drum lessons. I was very nervous to start lessons after many years away from playing and he quickly made me feel comfortable. I noticed a huge difference in my playing and confidence within the first couple months of lessons with him.

Not only does he have the technical knowledge, but he has valuable industry knowledge from being a highly sought after professional drummer and industry leader. I even met a past student of his while he was touring with a successful band. The former student greeted Bucket with powerful admiration and it was clear to me at that time that Bucket is special as an instructor and he treats his student like family. He truly cares about his students and wants them to do the best they possibly can.

Bucket, was my Captain of Dos Pueblos High School Drum Core. He was also my Captain of Santa Barbara Dolls Drum Core. We were not only good, but we were the best. One year we performed in Los Angeles, as the Santa Barbara Dolls Drum Core, and not just won, but scored a 99.8 %.

Bucket, was always patient, calm, but persistent to get the best out of each one of us. Not only could he write cadences, but he could design the best movements of the snare line, Quads, and Base Drums. Drums sticks tricks, back sticking, base drums walking backwards, keeping it really fun for the player and the crowd, but with a disciplined military overall theme.

There is only one musician better than Bucket, and that was his Mentor, and Band Director, Dr. Ike Jenkins, who brought out the best in him.

I’ve travelled all over the world playing drums myself with bands, but still haven’t met anyone as talent as Emanuel “Bucket” Baker.
