About Maddy
I am currently on a gap year before I attend Harvard University next year and am looking to help students with their classes, standardized testing, and even college applications. In high school, I tutored peers through our school's NHS chapter as well as at the request of teachers of classes I was in. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class last year and will be attending Harvard in the fall to study biology. I scored fives on AP Biology, Chemistry, Physics EM, Calc AB, Calc BC, Stats, English Language, and English Literature. I also scored 1570 on the SAT and 35 on the ACT. My SAT subject tests were 800 for Chemistry, 770 for Math Level II, and 770 for Molecular Biology. I hope I can help you achieve your goals as well!
The classes I've helped people with in the past have always been major stressors in their life, so I am happy when I can help them understand the material better and take a little bit of that stress away.

I first look at how they are doing in their classes and what the instruction is like in class to get a foundation. Next, I like to figure out what learning strategies work best for them as well as the part of the material they struggle the most with. I try to tailor my tutoring around these two things to teach in a way that's more personalized than what they may be receiving in class.
