About Jessinta

I'm quite young and I regularly work with kids and students, so I try to make tutoring fun and helpful. Not everyone learns in the same way, so I try to have a lot of resources available to help students. It's hard to be a student, and it's important to have a tutor who understands that struggle.

I have two young siblings, but I've always volunteered at horse farms teaching kids. I was then a swim coach, and now I'm a nanny/tutor while I build up my own brand.

I have my Bachelor's in Media and Communications, and over four years of professional experience working at magazines, newspapers, websites, and book publishers. I'm a sharp editor, and I enjoy teaching others what I know. I also ran the organization Her Campus Old Westbury- where I was in charge of teaching our writers how to properly write for publication.

About the lesson

I like to get to know them, see what they think they are struggling with, see what their instructor is saying, and work as a team to find a new method of learning. Often times memory or willingness isn't the issue, and students really just need some extra time to find a different way to look at the problem and solution. Give a man a fish, you know?

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about your best time studying- what were you doing? I normaly listen to classical music and write what I'm reading, and once I brought this up to my teacher we were able to more easily pin point what type of learner I was/am.
