About Olivia

Every student learns diferently; I have a passion for helping students learn how they learn! For years I have been working with students in New York City, many of whom have executive function issues, and I work personally to ensure that they do not fall behind in their school and extracurricular life.

As a tutor for over ten years, for students from 7 years old to 18 years old, from everything from ISEE/SAT/AP test prep to creative writing, to Spanish, to building executive function skills, I have a breadth of experience and the compassion to ensure confidence and growth in your child.

I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Filmmaking, while minoring in English Literature and Language. Throughout my studies, I pursued my love of language through activities that extended beyond my coursework. I served as a full-time Spanish tutor for other students, volunteered as a language tutor for refugees in the greater Boston community, and traveled to Spain and Portugal as a research-writer for the Harvard-led guide book, Let’s Go. I have worked with the premiere comapny, Smarten Up for three years, with long-standing clients.

I love watching students gain confidence with each small success! Executive function skills are often taken for granted but can have a huge effect on learning and succeeding in school. My hands-on, patient approach aims to find what makes each student tick and how their unique skills and specific challenges can be harnessed and/or managed in order to be a smarter learner.
